Wedding Favors For Your Female Guests
When wedding favors were first given back in the 13th century, they would only be given to the female guests. Today it is more common to give favors to all guests, but just how many of your male guests want a chrome bud vase or even a miniature photograph frame? Giving favors to just your female guests will of course lower your budget and give you a greater freedom over the items you choose.
There is a wide range of wedding favors to choose from with most suiting female guests more than male guests. But if you feel guilty about not giving anything to your male guests you could either set your groom the challenge of finding favors for them, or simply give little bags of candies or chocolates.
Here are a few ideas for wedding favors for your female guests:
- · Look for chrome plated compacts or lipstick holders which can also be personalized with your wedding monogram and date.
- · Elegant chrome bud vases look more expensive than they really are and make a nice addition to any dressing table.
- · Photograph frames are always a nice choice for favors and aside from doubling as place card holders, they provide a nice decorative touch to your guests homes.
- · Make your own scented sachets which can be hung in wardrobes or placed in drawers. They are very easy to make yourself and besides something which smells of lavender or rose petals are unlikely to appeal your male guests!
- · Scented soaps can be tailored for both sexes, but it is probably women who will appreciate them the most. Consider also mini bottles of bubble bath, bath salts or bath bombs.
- · Crystal paperweights are new to the wedding favors market mainly because they were quite expensive when they first came about. But many favor stores now stock crystal favors such as large engagement rings, diamond shaped crystals and other decorative shapes like roses, swans and hearts. Although these are still more expensive than more common types of wedding favor, they could be within budget if you are only purchasing for your female guests.
- · Embroidered items are easy to obtain these days, thanks to the internet. Look out for inexpensive eye masks, lingerie or shoe bags, pyjama cases and mini cosmetic purses.
- · Make your own silver charm bracelets using silver plated jewelry findings and charms. These can be bought very inexpensively and in bulk quantities for a discount. Look online for a wide range of charm choices and ideas.
- · If you like the idea of charm bracelets another similar idea is charm key chains which you can design with lengths of chain and pretty charms.
- · Make your own beaded bracelets which are very popular in fashion circles at the moment. Faux pearls, crystals and glass beads can all be bought in wholesale quantities and the addition of a ribbon bow helps to create a very pretty, wedding inspired favor.
